This is an unusual find - a retailer's box containing 12 Channel Islands steamers. The models would have been sold individually at a price of 2/6 (half a crown) which is written on one end of the box.
Each steamer has a black hull and white superstructure, with two yellow and black funnels, and each has a pair of white plastic masts supplied in a plastic bag; 7 of the bags are plain, 5 have instructions printed on them.
The models are in excellent condition, mostly near mint. The outer box has some age wear, and the tab on one flap has a partial tear. It is complete with its inner compartments.
