This horse-drawn London bus is in red with tan seats and driver - the driver has a black hat. The lower deck ceiling is unpainted. Wheels are charcoal black metal spoked. With 'Liptons Tea' adverts on the upper deck sides and 'London General Omnibus Company Limited - Kings Cross and Victoria' below. There also advertising decals front and rear; eight decals in all! The 2 cast metal horses are brown with white manes and tails, and gold collars. This is the earlier version with a single rivet securing the drawbar to the bus.
In excellent condition, there is just one tiny nick in the paintwork and the usual loss of paint from the driver's hat. The decals are fully intact, and model presents as near mint. The type D1 box has light ageing and wear to the edges of the flaps.
