When it was launched in 1963, Matchbox claimed this was the first model saloon car to have opening doors. This is a fairly early example, with maroon bodywork silver bumpers, grille and headlights, cream interior and black base. The wheels are silver plastic with 24 treads.
In good condition; there are two paint chips on one side and some more chips around the radiator and front bumper. The type D box is stained and the flaps are worn with some tape repairs on the inside.
