Silver-grey, with red plastic base and grille and green tinted windows. The yellow tipping body has light grey removable lid. The body is held in the tipped position which also acts as a shutter for the slot at the rear of the body. The shutter is closed when the body is down, but opens when it is tipped, so that the load (e.g. very fine grained sand) is ejected. Not a lot of people seem to realise this feature exists!
This example has three chips on one side of the body and a couple of smaller ones on the other. In other respects it is excellent. The type E4 'new model' box is complete but rater worn, with some creasing on the plain sides. One main flap has a tape repair. The box picture shows the model in the earlier sea green colour.
