Dark turquoise-blue paintwork with silver grille, black base, cream interior and clear plastic windows. The wheels are the slightly rarer grey plastic (silver and black are more common). This was the first Matchbox to have spring suspension.
This example has a paint chip on one rear door and a few smaller chips elsewhere. The paintwork is nevertheless bright, the suspension works and the axles are rust-free. The type D box has some light creasing on one plain side, and light wear to the flap hinges and edges.
