Developed from the Avro Lancaster heavy bomber, the Avro York saw service in both military and civilian roles following World War II, and until 1964.
Th Dinky model is in silver, with silver tinplate base. With four 3-bladed propellors in red, and 'G-AGJC' wing markings in black. The undercarriage has a single wheel on each side.
In lovely condition, nice and bright with all propellers intact. In a yellow lidded 'dual number' box; the model was introduced in 1946 as 70a, and renumbered to 704 in 1954. The box has some age wear but no major damage. There is a slight surface teat on top and tape marks on the bottom.
