This is the first version of the Corgi Lotus Elan S2, in metallic steel blue with black interior, tan dashboard and red tail lights. The bonnet opens to reveal a detailed chrome plated engine, and the front grille is plated also. The seats tip - although there are no rear seats to gain access to - and the side windows slide up and down. The decal on the boot lid features the 1960s Esso slogan 'I've got a tiger in my tank', with tiger logo. There are racing number 4 roundels on the windows and bonnet. The wheels have shaped spun nubs and black tyres. The model is complete with driver, with white overalls and blue helmet.
This example is in excellent condition, very near mint, but with some dents in the front wings next to the bonnet which appear to be a casting defect. The box is original and also near mint, with an internal card packing piece. There is a light crease on one face.
