Hollow-cast rearing horse, black with brown harness, red and white saddle and green base. Timpo Toys logo cast on the underside of the base with 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. The cowboy rider is actually a John Hill & Co figure, not Timpo, but he fits the horse very well. He has brown trousers, light grey shirt and hat, green necktie, and black boots and rifle.
John Hill supplied some of Timpo's figures before they started manufacturing for themselves in 1950, so it is possible that this is the original rider. However, judging by the colours of the saddle, I think it more likely this horse was originally the mount for an American Indian.
The horse is heavily play-worn, and has a hole in its side. This is largely obscured when the rider is mounted. The rider is less worn, but still has some chipping
