Tri-ang Model-Land
Model-Land replaced Tri-ang's old Countryside range of 'rubbery' buildings, complementing their OO/HO railways and Minic Motorways. Supplied as plastic kits, Model-Land buildings had the advantage of being ready coloured, so just needed to be glued together - no painting required! Originally introduced as Tri-ang Real Estate in 1962, the name changed to Model-Land in 1963. Some additional models were added to the range in the mid 1960s, but several items shown in catalogues as 'available later' were never actually released. The range petered out in the late 60s/early 70s, but some of the moulds were acquired by Dapol who resurrected the kits for a while in the 1990s.
