In two-tone turquoise and yellow, this is one of the most attractive early Lesney models although I don't remember seeing any real ones on the road in such bright colours!
There were several different versions of this model, which enjoyed quite a long production run. This one is a late issue with green tinted windows and black plastic wheels on rounded axles. The base is black and the front bumper, grille and headlights are silver.
This is a very nice example with bright shiny paintwork, unmarked apart from some little nicks in the raised body line between the rear windows. With only a slight rub on one screen pillar. There axles are rust-free. The type D is creased and has lost one inner flap. There are some tape reinforcements on the inside of the end flaps.
