RMS Carinthia was built in 1956 as one of four Saxonia class ships, and first saw duty on Cunard's transatlantic service to Canada.
The model has a black hull and white decks and superstructure with red-brown hatches. The two funnels are red with black tops.
This example is very near mint, just a paint rub on the corner of the bridge. The plastic mast and derricks are still in their bag, and the model is wrapped in its original tissue. The box has some light wear at the ends, including a price of 5/6 (five shillings and sixpence) written in pencil.
