This model of a 1970s Police Accident Unit is in cream and orange, with matt black base and grey interior. There is a sliding cab door on the driver's side, and the interior is complete with driver figure and steering wheel. On the other side there is an opening side door giving access to the load area, and there are twin opening doors at the rear which give access to storage racks for road signs. There is a Police sign on the roof with aerial, and a White, black base, silver grille with jewelled headlights. Cast detailed wheels with black tyres and suspension. Orange labels on upper body sides with 'POLICE' in dark blue. 'ACCIDENT UNIT' label beneath, dark blue on white background. 'UVR 77N' number plates. On the roof is a sign with 'POLICE' on each side, a blue dome light, and a radar gun/camera that can be raised and lowered.
This is the 2nd type of Dinky Transit casting with opening side door and top-hinged rear door, revealing a grey interior with black steering wheel and sign racks. Supplied with 2 folding signs, 'POLICE ACCIDENT' and 'POLICE SLOW', and 4 traffic cones.
Good-to-excellent, with light general paint chipping mainly on raise body lines. The labels are very good and all the accessories are present and correct. On an extending pole. There are 'POLICE ACCIDENT UNIT' labels on the sides. The model is also fitted with 'jewelled' headlights, and comes with 2 road signs and 3 traffic cones (two of which are damaged). Wheels are spun metal with black tyres and suspension.
This example is fair-to-good, with some chipping to the paintwork particularly on the front edges of the roof and bonnet, and some wear to the labels. The aerial and headlights are intact. There is a hole in the windscreen on the driver's side.
